ARTIST BIOGRAPHY
Veronique Noetzli-Mathon
I was born in Roubaix,France(about 2 hours north of Paris,next to the border of Belgium). I am the youngest of 6 children,and art runs in the family. My grandfather use to draw with ink,and my brother Jean-Charles Mathon is starting to be well known in France for his artwork. I came to California in 1980,got married and have 5 children,which enhanced my creativity through the years. I started to paint and draw for fun about 5 or 6 years ago,and received so many compliments and encouragement that I continued... Diedre,from Artist of America,entered my"cat painting"alias"chtittechatte sleeping"in her AOA calendar,and I was awarded the month of June. I never took any formal painting classes,I draw more from my feelings,and have experienced with many medias:watercolor,acrylic,charcoal and oil.
